Description
The Nigerite Super 7 Roofing Sheet is a premium corrugated fibre-cement sheet designed for both roofing and wall-cladding applications. With the trusted build of Nigerite and suited for Nigeria’s climate (and yours), it offers durability, weather resistance, and long-term value for contractors, builders, and homeowners alike.
Key Features:
- Material: Fibre cement profile — made from high quality cellulose fibres reinforced with Portland cement, giving strength and stability.
- Thickness: Available in approx. 4.5 mm or 5.0 mm for different lengths.
- Standard Width: Overall width approx. 1.097 m.
- Lengths: Available in different overall lengths (1.80 m, 2.40 m, 3.00 m, 3.60 m) depending on project needs.
- Effective Coverage Width: Approx. 0.885 m effective width per sheet.
- Longevity: Product listings claim durability of up to 40 years when installed correctly.
- Other Benefits:
- Good performance for roofing and cladding both residential and industrial structures.
- More weather-resistant than older asbestos sheets (since it’s fibre-cement).
Instructions
Usage / Installation Instructions:
- Ensure the roof framing (purlins/trusses) is correctly spaced and level.
- Lay the sheets starting from the lower edge of the roof, ensuring proper overlap (side lap approx. 212 mm as per some specs) and end-lap values.
- Use recommended fasteners (nails/bolts with washers) through the crest of the corrugation according to manufacturer guidance.
- Maintain proper roof pitch (minimum slope ~15° for good drainage).
- After installation, periodically clean the roof surface of debris and overgrowth to maintain performance.
- Do not paint standard grey sheets unless approved; doing so may void certain performance claims.
Ideal Applications:
- Residential houses where durability and low-maintenance roofing is desired.
- Industrial buildings (warehouses, factories) requiring reliable roofing in tough conditions.
- Cladding of walls as well as roofs in large-span structures where fibre-cement profiles are appropriate.
